Police Officer Caught With a 17-year-old Prostitute

Tagged with:columbia police, usa police

A Columbia police officer has been fired after being caught at a motel with an underage prostitute, said the spokesperson of the Richland County department.

32-year-old Mark A. Cornish was arrested after the police received a tip that a uniformed police officer was seen entering the motel with a girl that was known to the staff as a prostitute. it was later confirmed that she was only 17 years old.

Cornish fled in his patrol car when the deputies arrived at the motel, but he was found later that day just a couple of blocks from the motel. it turns out that this wasn’t the first encounter he had with this prostitute.

Police chief Randy Scott said that he initially wanted to wait until the investigation is over to decide about his course of action, but since Cornish refused to cooperate with the investigators, he chose to fire him immediately.

“You represent an agency, the community and what’s good in society,”
said Scott, stating that this kind of behavior is unacceptable for a member of the police force.

Cornish’s Facebook page suggest that not only he’s a Chaplain candidate for the U.S. Army and deeply religious, but a married man as well.

Police prepare as concealed carry begins in Wisconsin

It may be Nov. 1, the first day of the state’s new concealed-carry law, but if you pack heat in Wisconsin without a valid permit to carry, prepare to be arrested, police said Monday.

“They would technically be in violation of the law,” said Sgt. Joe Seitz, who is also a range master with the Milwaukee Police Department. “They would be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor, which is concealed carry weapon without a permit. so they would be arrested at that point. They’d be arrested for breaking the law.”

If you’re a Wisconsin resident, it doesn’t matter whether you have a concealed-carry license in another state. you have to obtain a Wisconsin license to carry legally here. That could take weeks.

Out-of-state residents who have a valid license in one of 26 specific states, however, can start carrying legally in Wisconsin right away.

Milwaukee police Chief Edward Flynn said Monday that the new law will not change the way his officers approach people at a traffic stop. but he reminded those who intend to carry concealed and are stopped by police to comply with commands of officers.

“If they are approached by an officer who gives them commands, just follow the commands. there will always be time to explain themselves once the commands have been followed,” he said.

That usually means: tell the officer you’re carrying concealed and where the weapon is located. Keep your hands where the officer can see them – preferably on the steering wheel. Cooperate with the officer and don’t make sudden movements, even if it’s to get your permit. Don’t touch or attempt to touch the weapon unless the officer tells you so.

“This is a right that needs to be exercised responsibly,” Flynn said. “My officers are being trained to be very careful, as they always are, when approaching someone who appears to them to be armed. I’m not going to ask them to let somebody get the drop on them. I ask everybody that intends to get a permit to think very carefully about responding to police officer commands and doing so in a safe and timely way so that we don’t have any unnecessary casualties.”

Flynn has repeatedly encouraged tougher training requirements as a condition for concealed carry permits. Seitz noted that firearms training for police recruits is 80 hours – as much as 20 times that of a Wisconsin resident who will be allowed to carry concealed.

Flynn also lamented that the potential misdemeanor for carrying a concealed weapon illegally is too low to deter criminals from doing it.

“The sanction for illegally carrying a firearm is a mere misdemeanor, and that’s just insufficient to deter our criminal community, as we can prove by the number of firearms we seize every year,” he said.

On the eve of the new law, residents overflowed a meeting room at the Milwaukee offices of the state Department of Natural Resources for an informational meeting on concealed carry hosted by local lawmakers.

As they entered the building, attendees were asked if they were carrying firearms, a question that is sure to be posed more frequently once the law takes effect.

Inside, they posed questions of their own to Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, who admitted many answers won’t be available during the state’s transition to concealed carry.

“It’s going to take time for us to make it through many of these issues,” Chisholm said.

Also, the state Department of Justice on Monday explained its rules on out-of-state licenses for concealed carry.

If you are a Wisconsin resident, a valid out-of-state license is not enough. you must have a Wisconsin license.

However, if you are a Wisconsin resident with a current or expired (but not suspended or revoked) out-of-state license, you may be able to use your permit as proof of training for a Wisconsin concealed carry permit. To do that, you need to fill out an affirmation form at bit.ly/ccw-outofstate that your license hasn’t been revoked for cause. it does not matter which state issued the permit.

The form is only proof of training. To be allowed to carry, you have to submit the affirmation form to the Wisconsin Justice Department along with an application form and a check and be approved by the government.

If you are not a Wisconsin resident, but you hold a current (not expired, suspended or revoked) license from one of 26 specific states with requirements similar to Wisconsin’s, you can legally carry in Wisconsin with a permit from one of those states.

If you are not a Wisconsin resident, but hold a permit from one of the states that are not on the list of accepted licenses, you need to get a permit from one of the states whose permits Wisconsin recognizes.

Before I go, a quick reminder about some of the guidelines about what reports qualify for our news feed and police misconduct database:

  1. We only track reports about misconduct committed by people who are employed as a certified or sworn officer at the time of the alleged incident. This means we don’t track misconduct committed by people who are no longer officers when they do something bad and we don’t track cases involving non-sworn employees like clerks, parking enforcement, or corrections officers.
  2. We have guidelines set to limit updates on reports to only include status changes that are significant to a case that has already been tracked. So, while we would report that a cop who we tracked as being charged with a crime was convicted or sentenced for it, we won’t track that the officer’s trial started or specific items of testimony about the case were published unless that testimony revealed other allegations not already tracked.

For a more detailed discussion about our reporting and tracking methodology, please refer to this page on our site.

Cop Caught Pepper-Spraying Women at Occupy Wall Street Says He’d Do it Again

Video 2

A shocking confession comes from the police officer who was caught on video pepper-spraying a group of women protesters on Occupy Wall Street. Deputy inspector Anthony Bologna says he believes he didn’t exceed the necessary amount of force and that he’d do the same thing again in a similar situation.

The incident happened on 12th Street near Union Square where a group of protesters was penned by the police with orange crowd-control rubber mesh nets.

A couple of women were standing by the nets peacefully when Bologna appeared from the crowd and started macing them.

When he emptied a whole can of spray at them, he simply turned his back and walked away like nothing happened, leaving the women fall to the ground in agony.

Anthony Bologna claims that he was aiming at a group of male protesters and accidentally sprayed the women, but surprisingly there are no men to be seen anywhere near those women on the video.

Shockingly, this is not the sole incident caused by inspector Bologna. Another video shows him going berserk and pepper-spraying a different group of protesters as they were walking away from the spot when another police officer told them to move.
